“Growing up in a multicultural environment and working for 18 years around the world in project management, made it a natural move for me when I settled in France to put my personal experience at the service of others, helping management teams to work internationally within JV's, or as a result of a merger or acquisition.”
Marie Lachèze was brought up in an international environment (she is Anglo-French). As an economist she lived and worked in several countries over a period of 17 years (Philippines, Hong Kong, Canada, Brasil, USA), before returning to France where she is now a senior corporate trainer.
It was during her assignment in the USA that MSB, a prestigious New York training institute, asked her to set up Franco-American intercultural programmes based on her practical experience and background knowledge, for American corporate personnel. She continued this work on her return to France and today works in the field of international team building following mergers and acquisitions. She particularily enjoys to work as a facilitator and mediator in international conflict resolution : her work has taken her into many international organizations such as the UN, OECD and Asian Development bank, as well as global companies like Glaxo, Safran, Renault, etc..
Parallel to her corporate work, Mary was a faculty member of Pace University New York, and today is professor of International Communications at ESCP, a French Grande Ecole/business school in Paris. She was a regular contributor to the 'Expatriate' magazine and has published many articles in the international business press : her latest publication is 'Intercultural Communication' distributed by the BNP.
Mary joined Pateau Consultants to develop the intercultural training of Sanofi for British employees moving to France and Germany.
