“I've always been immersed in intercultural relations, first in a Franco-Spanish family and then in the context of my training in intercultural communication. This experience was so enriching, that it became my professional life.”

Born in 1961. Bicultural and bilingual from birth (Spain and France). DESS (Advanced postgraduate studies) in Intercultural Management (ICHEC Management School, Brussels), Honours degree in Political Science and Bachelor’s degree in Law from the Law faculty of the University of Strasbourg and Universidad Complutense in Madrid. At the same time, Isabel learned about the foundations of psychology, business coaching and   "mindful leadership."

In 1985, she was the co-founder and head of the Spain and Latin America department at EIEC (International Educational and Cultural Exchanges) in Paris. She was responsible for launching and promoting the Spanish and Latin American departments, along with the design and management of training and cultural projects, and relations with Spain and Latin America.

In 1989, she founded and became Director of the International Association of Languages and Cultures, before moving on to Intercultura in Strasbourg: cultural activities and training (languages and intercultural communication). Its partners and clients included major businesses such as Thomson, General Motors, Mercedes Benz, DNA, Dow Chemical, and European institutions (European Commission, Council of Europe, European Parliament, etc.), the European Corps, Arte and business schools and universities such as ISEG Business School, ICHEC Management School and so on.

In 2001 she joined the European Commission in the field of external relations, where she dealt with international and intercultural reality on a day-to-day basis: 27 national and business cultures, with projects in 127 countries. Isabel specifically tackled projects in Africa, the Maghreb, and Latin America. In 2008 she was recruited by the multinational Indra, which has 30,000 employees in around one hundred countries. She opened and managed the Office to the EU where she continued her work as a Manager and Consultant on international projects.

With a wealth of experience, Isabel started her own business in 2012, designed to facilitate the international development of its customers and partners. In Pateau Consultants, a firm with whom she worked previously on projects at EADS, she has found an ally of the highest quality.
