“Companies are complex and fluctuating organisms forced to adapt to a polymorphous and ever changing world. Intercultural management is one way to achieve this adaptation and on this difficult but unavoidable ground I intend to lead men and women working in companies that are eager to take up the challenge of success.”
Born in Navarre, in Spain, I was given very early the opportunity, or rather the chance, to be immersed in an international environment. Indeed, as from the age of twelve, I followed and international course of education and training in France and Italy that led me to the Baccalaureat and to three years of religion comparative studies.
Further to a degree in French and Spanish languages obtained in Madrid and Paris, I passed a Master's degree in social psychology and work psychology. I completed this double course by a university degree in business management, specializing in the training of trainers and business consultants.
My professional life follows two main axes :
I am a lecturer in international trade, international marketing, corporate international communications and negotiation. I teach courses at BTS, Licence, Maîtrise level and a DESS of International Relations and Economic Intelligence in the Strasbourg Academy as well as in other Universities.
On the other hand, I work with companies that want to succeed in an international environment by training their future expatriates in intercultural management. The major cultural areas covered by my skills are the Latin world, Japan and China. Counselling and training “impatriates” in French firms is another intercultural opening offered to companies.
For Pateau Consultants Javier has been coaching and training French and Spanish managers in the framework of the co-operation between Navantia and Naval Group (DCNS).
