Some highlights of the year

Successful Integration at EADS
Paris, TET meeting, February 9, 2001

After participating in the first kick-off meeting for EADS a year ago, Pateau Consultants organized the 'post-merger mechanisms' session this year. The session marked the second meeting of the group's fifty top managers and was devoted to the mechanics of cooperation.

Culture and Language
March 2001

An article entitled : “L'étude des langues étrangères. Les Français sont complexés.” (Studying Foreign Languages. The French are inhibited) written by Christine Geoffroy, expert on Franco-British relations and the English language, appeared in Le Monde de l'Éducation. Christine was Jean Lebrun's guest on radio France Culture where she presented her new book “La mésentente cordiale” (The Cordial Disagreement).

Following the purchase of Aventis CropScience and under the direction of Jochen Wulff, future director of Bayer CropScience, the Bayer Pflanzenschutz management team called upon Pateau Consultants to help them increase their skills in intercultural communication and cooperation.

Meeting at Evian
September 3, 2001

On the occasion of Evian's 10th Franco-German gathering, speeches were made and conferences held by key politicians (Joschka Fischer, Jacques Delors) and top executives (Ph. Camus, Rainer Hertrich (EADS), J.R. Fourtu (Aventis), K.-H. Baumann (Siemans), Louis Schweitzer (Renault). Jacques Pateau as well as Peter Kraljic (McKinsey & Company) and Roland Berger (Roland Berger) were invited to present their thoughts on Franco-German mergers and partnerships in the context of globalization.
