Some highlights of the year
Buyin: a successful start
Paris, Bonn, January-December 2012
One year after the creation of Buyin, the jointly owned and operated entity of Deutsche Telekom and France Telecom, cross-border co-operation is working well. More than 150 employees have attended our integration seminars called « Bridges » with focus on cross-cultural awareness and teambuilding. A pilot session of the second module, named « Advanced Bridges », was organized in November. The objective of this follow-up session is to solve concrete cooperation issues.
Europipe, fourteen years after!

In 2012, Pateau Consultants started work on a new mission assigned by Europipe, one of their first customers of the nineties (1994-1998). The company management decided to re-launch the cross-cultural seminars called from the very beginning « Pateau Seminars », which aim at integrating newcomers from the different sites, better understand cultural differences and improve concrete day-to-day collaboration.
Daimler-Renault-Nissan, the first trilateral workshop

In the framework of the industrial co-operation between Daimler and Renault Nissan, Pateau Consultants was asked to co-facilitate the first two-day workshop including French, German and Japanese project teams. Far beyond the classical sessions of monocultural training taking place in the three countries, the priority is now to bring people together to discuss business issues – i.e. not only talking about the partner, but with the partner.
Airbus: lessons learned

Jacques Pateau has been invited as guest-speaker to share his long experience of multicultural co-operation with top management and employees of the Saint-Nazaire Airbus plant. Two other cross-cultural sessions have been facilitated as part of the A350 project. Objectives: How to overcome cultural differences? How to master cooperation mechanisms? How to maintain trust in spite of business turbulences?

In addition to the one-week module “Cross Cultural Management” of the Full-Time MBA and the Mannheim Tonji Executive MBA, Jacques Pateau was asked to run a cross-cultural session for Phoenix, the German market leader in pharmaceutical wholesaling. The Mannheim Business School, a leading institution in business administration in Germany, is particularly known for its outstanding research sector, as well as high teaching standards.
