Sonepar, the global market leader in B-to-B distribution of electrical products, solutions and related services is operating in 44 countries on 5 continents with 46000 associates and 22.4 Bn € of sales performance. One of the very first modules of the Corporate University Sonacademy “Intercultural knowledge” created 12 years ago was successfully run by Pateau Consultants this year on three continents, i.e. America, Asia and Europe.   

Buyin, a Franco-German co-operation in the telecommunication sector
Bonn, Paris, 2018, April-November

8 years after the creation of Buyin, a procurement joint-venture between Deutsche Telekom and Orange we continue to support Management team and employees of both countries and sites. More than 400 participants have already attented the “Bridges” seminars for new comers in the company. The objective of these sessions is still to master cultural differences, to improve concrete day-to-day collaboration and cooperation spirit. 

Vallourec, Change Management und co-operation

In the framework of the reorganisation of the Group, Vallourec, the world leader in premium tubular solutions we have been working with for twenty-two years in the field of cross-cultural management, asked us to support and to facilitate the management of change in differents entities. Coaching, change management sessions and cross-cultural seminars were organized this year throughout the whole company in Europe.    

M&A in the pharma business, on the road again…
Ingelheim-Lyon, 2018, May-June

Pateau Consultants ist acting in the pharmaceutical branch again. Several years after the Aventis/Sanofi merger we were asked to support a new multicultural co-operation. The French Merial was acquired  by a family-owned German group Boehringer Ingelheim, now the world’s second-largest animal health company. In the framework of this acquisition our first mission was to organize „Bridges“, i.e. co-operation seminars for upper management in Ingelheim and talks fort the French staff in Lyon.

Cooperation for starts-ups (cont.)

Contentful, Content Infrastructure for Digital teams, a young company in Berlin, owning a subsidiary in the Silicon Valley and whose typical employee profile is extremely multicultural keeps working on virtual and cross-cultural cooperation. For the second year in a row Pateau Consultants is running a series of workshops for new comers. The objectives of this training: mastering cultural differences, fostering co-operation, developing team spirit.
